I recently conducted a little accounting exercise to figure out the number of hours I have devoted to coaching over the past 8 years. Drum rolllllll – 6000 hours!
That sounds like a lot but here are 3 things I learnt based on my experience:
Transformation happens through consistent small actions. Your unwritten book, non-profit in Africa or piano concert is something you can execute by contributing just a couple of hours a week. If you can keep up the pace I did that 750 hours in 1 year!
Time is a choice and if you are constantly busy then maybe you have too many “priorities”. We have to accept that we can’t have it all at the same time. Learn to really figure out what needs to be done first. And remember there is only 1 first place!
#FITNS or Focus Is The New Sexy! So get focused, choose what is most important to you for the next 3 month and ignore the rest! Rumi said it best: The art of knowing is knowing what to ignore.
Before we start working together many of my clients have too many ideas, too many projects and too many life demands. They are overwhelmed and that leads them to freeze rather than move forward. We work to change that and compose a lifestyle where instead of “busy” you say “it is not my priority”.
